Roles and Responsibilities of Traffic Analyst
The incumbent is responsible for accurately estimating the base traffic and recommending future traffic growth projections for the project, which would be used in the bid model. The incumbent is also responsible for identifying possible revenue threats/risks and estimating the impact of the same on the project cash flows
- Review the results of the traffic studies and analyse data like volume counts, OD surveys, etc to determine traffic characteristics and arrive at bid assumptions
- Review regularly the traffic data from toll plazas in the area around and influencing the project to arrive at growth estimates for the project
- Monitor macro socio-economic factors and their relationships with traffic growth to provide realistic estimates of traffic
- Maintain all traffic related data in a structured manner, ensuring timely collection and compilation of the same
- Develop project-specific strategies for growth assumptions based on the analysis of information/data
- Review the traffic data of existing projects in order to check validity of assumptions during the bidding stage of the projects and document new learning’s
- Interacting with Consultants to validate data and also on various assumptions so as arrive at independent decisions
Qualification & Experience
PG in Transportation Engineering / PG in Urban Planning with B.Tech in Civil Engg from a Tier I institute with 5+ Years experience.
