Position : Regional Finance Controller
Position Reports : CFO
Location:Mumbai (1) & Bangalore (1)
Key Responsibilities: 1.Manage accounting & month closing including P&L reporting for the region
2.Billing, customer recons, credit controls, receivable management & interacting with key customers
3.Analysis of monthly P&L & presentation of the same along with the Regional GMs
4.Preparation of budgets, COP analysis & facilitate implementation of cost controls
5.Liaise with Legal Department & local lawyers to help with land acquisition for plant/quarries
6.Implementation of systems & processes in the region in close coordination with HO teams & local operations teams
7.Key control & commercial decisions to be evaluated along with Regional GMs for approval of HO
Key Interactions: 1.Reports to Director-Corporate & CFO; Direct reports – Branch/Regional Accountants
2.Working closely with Regional General Manager on all finance, control & commercial issues
3.Coordinate with Head-Accounts for monthly closing, audits, sock-take, verification of assets, recon, etc.
4.Coordinate with FP&A for budgets, reports, COP, etc.
5.Coordinate with Legal Manager & local lawyers on land acquisition projects
6.Customers & Credit Controller for implementation of commercial controls & recons
Educational qualifications:
1.B Com/M Com/CWA/Inter-CA
2.10-15 years of experience
3.Age around 35 years.
Specific skill set: 1.Accountant who has worked in independent regional role
2.Should be mature & capable of handling pressure from operations, sales, etc.
3.Have good commercial acumen
4.Strictly implement controls, policies that are initiated at HO
5. System implementation with rigor & within timelines
6.Interaction with Govt. officials, tax authorities, etc.
7.Have basic understanding of legal issues
8.Good people management skills – with manage accounting & billing teams across cities
